This work was developed over 35+ years back by well-known therapist, meditator and author Sagarpriya DeLong. Since then, hundreds of therapists have been trained, and thousands of participants have benefitted from this transformative work across Europe, India, Brazil, China, Japan, UAE and more. What is Star Sapphire Male-Female Energywork?
Star Sapphire Energywork guides you to connect with and experience the two fundamental energies present in every person regardless of gender -
masculine (active, outward, rational, yang, male)
and
feminine (receptive, inward, emotional, yin, female)
When these two inner energies are flowing in their natural states, they support and complement each other. Like breath - in and out.
When the inner dynamic becomes imbalanced due to one energy becoming dominant (with either good or destructive intentions), it begins to impose its priorities and preferences on the other. Leading to other energy losing its rightful space for expression - hence suffering as a result. This inner tension and dynamic then carries through to our outer relationships and work. On a collective level, this same imbalance fuels leadership crises, conflicts, and unsustainable systems.
Through the Star Sapphire work, we make contact with these two energies, discover their current dynamic, including insights into why we became partial to one and it effects. Guided by an expert facilitator - we learn to release and relax using meditation, energywork and therapeutic techniques. We discover the beauty of each energy and how the two together make us whole and able to respond creatively to any situation! As they heal, these energies relax and begin to flow in their natural states - first independently, then in balanced harmony and towards integration. The outcome is that we begin to live, relate and work from a space of growing completeness, with access to both the vibrancy of the inner masculine, and serenity of the inner feminine. We discover wholeness - living and leading from presence rather than reaction.
This is not therapy or coaching. It's direct experiential work with our own energy, consciousness, and presence. The transformation happens through our own discovery, supported by skilled yet gentle facilitation in a safe environment, using guided meditations, energywork, and other therapeutic techniques. Opening a doorway into Presence for deep healing, understanding and shifts to be possible.

Meet Your Facilitator: Safar
Safar has been facilitating Star Sapphire Energywork for over 15 years, leading workshops across Europe, China, Japan, UAE and other countries.
A trained therapist based in Prague, Czech Republic, Safar also brings deep experience in psychic massage, hypnotherapy, ayurveda balance bodywork and transformational facilitation. He is also a professional chef who still enjoys cooking.
Safar has studied and trained for 15+ years in Star Sapphire Energywork and Conscious Living methods, with Sagarpriya DeLong.
Safar is a seeker of truth and a meditator, and his approach involves helping the participant move from a “state of desire” to a “state of presence”. He combines skill, warmth, gentleness and creates a safe space for participants to explore their inner landscape and discover their path to inner healing, balance and living with growing wholeness.
Many hundreds of participants have benefited and experienced transformations with Safar’s work: through Star Sapphire and other Conscious Living retreats he conducts.

About Sagarpriya DeLong
Creator & Innovator of Star Sapphire Energywork
Sagarpriya (Roberta) DeLong was born in Tacoma, Washington in the United States. She studied music and philosophy in college. In her early 20s she joined Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California, as a member of their massage team and eventually became the director of the program.
Esalen was a place of tremendous vitality in the late 1960s - as the first and probably the only personal growth center in the US. Sagarpriya crossed paths with many renowned innovators in the field of humanistic psychology during her time at Esalen - Ida Rolf, Fritz Perls, Alan Watts just to name a few. In 1975 she published her first book, “Psychic Massage” which went on to become a classic. In 1977 she met Osho, an Enlightened Mystic, in India, where a lot of her acquaintances has already gathered to meditate. She became a seeker of truth and meditator and invented many new workshops and therapeutic methods. Around 1987, Sagarpriya started to work on Star Sapphire Energywork, and in early 90s started to offer this workshop. She subsequently authored a book on this topic -” Two Shores of Love” - which is also a classic.
Sagarpriya also co-founded Conscious Living, an association near Bologna, Italy - offering trainings in Star Sapphire, Psychic Massage and seminars related to consciousness in daily life.
Through her transformative work and presence, thousands of people have discovered the “Two Shores of Love” - the vibrancy of the masculine energy and the serenity of the feminine - united in wholeness.
Sagarpriya passed away peacefully in January 2026 in Italy. Her work now lives on through the Star Sapphire team.

Why the name Star Sapphire?
This method is about the inner masculine & inner feminine energies finding their essential nature. When both connect with their innermost “being” they can easily find oneness they were searching for.
Selecting a name to describe the inner being was not an easy undertaking. Finally, the name of the method became Star Sapphire Energywork. A star sapphire gemstone looks rather plain and ordinary on the surface, but inside there is a light - a six-pointed star.
Sagarpriya wanted to reveal to people the subtle luminosity available inside themselves when the inner male and female function harmoniously in a relaxed alternating rhythm.
