WHY I AM BRINGING STAR SAPPHIRE ENERGYWORK TO THE USA
A personal note from Niv Sharma

After 12 years at 3M (an innovative Fortune 200 multinational), and many years of leadership growth work - including 15 years of meditation practice - I thought I well understood leadership and creation. I had well-developed masculine achieving energies: engineering degree, MBA, corporate success, tech startups, business consulting. Through leadership experiences along with inner work, my feminine side had grown too - more flowing, creative, intuitive, receptive.
But here's what puzzled me: for five years, I'd been nurturing ideas and vision for new work that mattered deeply - work bridging the world of inner (spiritual) and outer (science). Idea after idea, vision after vision. Yet nothing was manifesting concretely. This made no sense. In the real world, I was actively creating tech startups and consulting with businesses - clearly capable of bringing things into form. But for this new work - work that mattered most? I expected to do this extremely well. Instead, I felt stuck. I didn't understand why.
I first experienced Star Sapphire Energywork in 2020 through a virtual taster session offered by the Europe team. Something resonated, but the timing wasn't right. In fall 2025, an inner call brought me back - this time through Sagarpriya DeLong's book "Two Shores of Love."
Reading it, I sensed what might be happening: my masculine and feminine energies were operating in silos. They were both present, both in flow - but not in dialog with each other.
As I worked with the book's exercises, real insights and subsequent shifts began. I learned something counterintuitive: I couldn't force harmony. I had to let these two energies first flow independently, be happy on their own, without pressure to integrate. Just awareness. Just relaxation.
The new work has started manifesting differently - not from driving or pushing, but more from relaxation and love. I sense my inner man is coming more happily now to support what wants to emerge, rather than forcing or controlling it. My inner woman has the space to express and create - to connect spirituality and science, the inner and outer - dots that analytical thinking alone might dismiss, but experience and intuition recognize. There is a quiet courage in trusting what emerges rather than forcing what's already validated or familiar. And when vision needs form - nonprofits to register, partnerships to build, systems to create - my inner man brings clarity, structure and action with focus. Both energies are essential - feminine to envision, masculine to manifest! Just like breath…in and out.
Friends who have experienced the full Star Sapphire retreat told me it was the most significant transformational work they have done - and these are people who have attended many retreats. If the book and taster created this much change, a 3-day immersive retreat with skilled facilitation must be profound!
That is when I reached out to the Star Sapphire team: would they bring this work to the USA for the first time?

In this article, Leela talks about her own understanding of the Star Sapphire configuration, and how gender can be approached and thought of within that field.
Working with inner polarity has nothing to do with gender identity.
The Star Sapphire approach is about presence and balance, becoming aware of two different qualities of energy that everyone has, regardless of their gender identity or physical body. To describe these energies—
perfectly represented in ancient Chinese Taoism by the symbol of Tao — many cultures have defined them as masculine and feminine, but language is always inadequate compared to the experiences and complexity of life.Nowadays, this male-female definition can create misconceptions, narrowing the understanding of this polarity, fundamental to many vital phenomena on Earth.
It is easier when we simply think about a car battery. Electricity occurs between the opposite and complementary poles: positive (+) and negative (-). The presence of both and the balance between them are necessary to generate power for the car’s proper functioning.
This presence and balance of opposing poles are fundamental to our multidimensional well-being too. When energy freely flows between our two poles, it charges our vitality in many aspects of life: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.
Up to now, there are 72 definitions of different genders, and the attempt—through language too, with new, different vocals or symbols (@, *, or whatever)—is to facilitate a shift for a more inclusive consciousness of all the genders.
I prefer to focus on the interaction and expression of different energies/identities within myself and others, being aware of who is watching the play between the + and -, enjoying the play itself. Avoiding to create new, more subtle, and complex identifications for myself. And this is the same approach that I share through Star Sapphire.
It seems paradoxical that working with a duality in energy helps us to dis-identify from the dual dimension, but this is precisely what occurs. The natural integration of the rhythm between the two poles allows for relaxation. In this flow, the mind loses its grip and space to create fixed images, thereby strengthening the ego. For when we truly include everything, there is ultimately nothing to hold onto, just infinite play…

Thank you for the question. Yes, the question that you have is exactly the kind of thing we could work with in a Star Sapphire session. And in Star Sapphire, we see the first chakra as related to issues of money. So when there is a presence and a relaxation in that chakra, there tends to be an easiness with material things, with money. And if there is some tension or closure in that chakra, then there tends to be a sense of stress about money, a sense of scarcity that there isn’t enough, that you can’t get enough.
However, we don’t see that the roots of that problem are in the first chakra. Here, we look deeper at the relationship between your inner male and your inner female, and that is where we will find the roots of this problem.
It can be that one side is doing the work from a place of creativity or flow, and the other side isn’t involved or hasn’t found their creativity. Or it could be that the work is being done from a place of pressure or should, you have to, or trying to fulfil outer expectations rather than coming from an inner creativity.
And whatever we find there, we are going to support the one of the inner pair who has the most connection to their inner being. We’re going to support that one to find their creativity or to expand it. If this is already happening very easily, we will find a way to support the other side, to find their creativity, their work, or an activity that they can do which expresses their inner nature through creativity. And as this starts to shift, then we see that the relationship to money starts to relax.
So to address issues about work and money, we are always looking at the inner relationship between the inner male and inner female.
